Climate Beacons Networks (CBN) was founded in 2014 as a volunteer-driven organisation dedicated to raising awareness about climate change across Pakistan. What began as a grassroots movement quickly evolved into a powerful platform for knowledge sharing and climate action.
In 2019, CBN launched The ClimAct Magazine — Pakistan's first dedicated quarterly climate publication — promoting sustainable solutions and amplifying the voices of environmental practitioners, researchers, and activists. Recognising the need for comprehensive, evidence-based strategies, CBN expanded into a private consulting service in 2020.
Today, CBN is a robust organisation committed to sustainability and collaboration. With an evidence-based, data-driven approach aligned with GRI, TCFD, SASB, CDP, and the SDGs, CBN addresses climate challenges across sectors — empowering individuals, businesses, and communities with the knowledge and tools to act.
CBN is led by Tayyab Shafique, Founder and CEO, with 12+ years of experience in ESG, climate change, and decarbonization across MENA and South Asia, including prior work at EY's Climate Change & Sustainability Services and contributions to World Bank, IFC, ADB, UN, and C40 Cities initiatives.
